Launch of Drone Pilot Jobs and Training Program in India
As part of its mission to help commercial UAVs "become a reality" in India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has begun a recruitment and training push for drone pilots. Andria Gandhi Rastriya Udaan Academy, a government-run aviation school, said over the weekend that it will be adding drone pilot training programmers to its curriculum. The announcement follows the recent signing of a contract between the academy and the Indian drone operator Drone Destination.
According to Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola, "[Drones] are] unquestionably a new and rising industry with immense possibilities and opportunity," he declared at the 36th foundation day of IGRUA. He was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying, "We pioneered the software revolution, and we have the capacity to become number one in the drone revolution." "In that direction, we've made a little progress.
The first is that even drone operations require pilots, and IGRUA is setting up one of the first drone training facilities. The entire drone regulatory framework has been put in place, he continued, and very soon drones will be governed, watched over, and controlled in the same way that aircraft are.
In order to deal with drones' growing use, India, in Kharola's opinion, needs to be able to control them well. The difficulty, according to him, is that we must make sure that we lead in both drone manufacture and management.
Kharola also made a suggestion that IGRUA might eventually enter the drone manufacturing industry. The Indian government is pushing more for the use of drones in a variety of sectors, including agriculture, law enforcement, and disaster management. At least 40% of new drone pilots must be women, according to the government.
DGCA-approved RPA Manufacturing company Hubblefly Technologies' sister company, Drone Destination, aspires to create an entire drone eco-system centered on drone manufacturing, accredited training, services, insurance, leasing, and finance. The company has its headquarters in New Delhi and is supported by a skilled staff of aviation and drone experts who collectively have more than 335 years of expertise.
