Now, IGRUA Will Also Produce Drone Pilots
IGRUA (Indira Gandhi National Aviation Academy), which provided airplane pilots to the country, is now going to prepare drone pilots as well. The academy has tied up with Drone Destination Company of Delhi.
IGRUA located at Fursatganj, Amethi has taken a new initiative as part of its dissemination programmes. The sharing agreement the Academy has entered into with the Drone Destination Company. Under that, the infrastructure of IGRUA will be used here. But, the technology to prepare the drone pilot training in India will be of the drone destination company only.
Director Igrua Krishnendu Gupta told that we are going to start drone flying training, we will carry out high-level training by including our safety standards. Founder and CEO, Drone Destination Company Chirag Sharma said that Indira Gandhi National Flight Academy is a drone pilot training institute. We have tied up with them to produce drone pilots jobs.
Training blueprint will be prepared: Youth will be selected from all over the country to prepare drone pilots license. The criteria and rules will soon be decided by the officials of IGRUA and Drone Destination Company. After that the drone training courses will start.
60 to 70 pilots are made every year: Presently more than 250 youths are taking training to become pilots here. The academy claims that it produces 60 to 70 pilots every year. Training is completed within 18 to 24 months. At least 40% of new drone pilots must be women, according to the government.
